Operations Manager

Our Operations Manager is a critical role in both day-to-day duties and long-term company growth. You’re responsible for assisting in supply, tool, machine, and inventory management. You’ll also be the point person for employee relations, retention, and training. You’ll help drive Lovett Gutters to become stronger through efficiency and standards.

You’re responsible for working in concert with the entire team, including the Owner, Salespeople, and Installers to help ensure the best customer, partner, or vendor experiences.

Operations Manager

Position Details:

  • Full-time, year-round
  • Working on roofs during reasonable inclement weather including hot summers and cold winters

Job Description:

  • Manage company performances and shop supply/inventory levels with a keen understanding of project calendars
  • Facilitate continuous improvement activities in all aspects of operations
  • Manage employee relations by administering and facilitating company policies or procedures
  • Communicate consistently and effectively to employee representatives, external suppliers, management team, or customers as appropriate
  • Assist the salespeople in quoting and estimates for residential projects or commercial bids
  • Drive efficiency and continuous improvement in all tools, machines, and fleet
  • Directly responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, and developing staff
  • Understand and promote Lovett Gutter’s quality standards for procedures
  • Motivate the staff to deliver world-class quality, on-time, and efficiency results in alignment with company goals and values
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all
  • Willingness to assist in company marketing activities

Qualifications:

  • Associate (preferred)
  • Must be 18+ years of age or older
  • 1-3 years of entry-level management experience. Landscape or roofing is a plus!
  • Knowledge of proper guttering installation for both residential and commercial applications
  • Experience in various metals including common and premium materials for gutters and downspouts
  • Be able to read and implement blueprints and possess basic landscape or roofing construction knowledge
  • Good time management skills and excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail in verbal and written communication
  • Positive, outgoing attitude with an internal drive to succeed
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time (office, job sites, shop, etc.)
  • Possess your own reliable vehicle for transportation
  • Ability to lead 2 or more people in teams
  • Position requires bending, reaching, stooping, climbing, repetitive motions, cognitive skills, lifting up to 40 pounds, standing and moving
